Berry Picking

If you are around Nuuk in the late summer or early fall, grab a basket and take a walk beyond the suburb of Qinngorput (you can also take the Number 3 bus out here). In the green hills that hug the coastline, you’ll find copious bushes of crow berries. Collecting them make for a delightful and delicious afternoon.

These vitamin-C rich berries were an integral part of the inuit diet – today they are often used in pies and jellies as well as in innovative Greenlandic gastronomy.
