Nipisa is the Greenlandic word for lumpfish, the curious round fish that is found in Arctic waters and the namesake of one of Greenland’s best known restaurants.
The cozy gourmet restaurant is located in the Old Harbor in Nuuk, and is home to one of the most delightful culinary experiences in the country.
The roe of a lumpfish is seasonal, as are most of the ingredients used in Nipisa’s menu. You’ll find different offerings depending on the season, but always with a Greenlandic touch and excellent wine pairings.
